Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Each member of our treatment team is a registered assistant, and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.
Christina McDermott, CDA, AAS, CDT, EFDA
Christina has been a Certified Dental Assistant since 1984. She is a graduate
of Edinboro University, class of 1986, with a degree in Dental Laboratory
Technology. She later graduated from Harcum College in 2005 with her Expanded
Functions (EFDA) certification. Christina is a member of the EDFA association.
She is x-ray and CPR certified as well. Christina has worked with Dr. Hunter
since 2004 as an assistant and has recently taken a greater role in Front Desk
Administration. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and four
children.

Gretchen Hontz, RDH
Gretchen graduated from Indiana University in 1997 with a degree in Dental
Hygiene and has actively worked as a hygienist since. She has worked with Dr.
Hunter since the start of his practice in Kennett Square in 2002. With a
previous background as a certified emergency medical technician, Gretchen
retains a professional rescuer certification, enabling her to implement the
medical emergency protocol for the office. When not working in the office,
she greatly enjoys spending as much time as possible with her young daughter.

Lauren Cherico, RDH
Lauren graduated from Delaware Technical and Community College in 1986 with an
AAS degree in Dental Hygiene and has been steadily practicing clinical dental
hygiene for 20 plus years. For a number of years, Lauren was involved in
community field work teaching children about good dental hygiene habits and
even travelled to India in 2001 to participate in a medical first aid unit
where she gave oral hygiene instruction to native villagers.Her focus is on
periodontal health, overall dental health, and whole body wellness. She has
been with Dr. Hunter , at his Kennett practice, for almost 5 years and more
recently has been travelling to his Skippack office, as well. Her two teenage
daughters are a great joy in her life.
